Useful AI research summarizer, but not a replacement for reading papers

SciSummary is an AI tool designed to summarize scientific articles, research papers, and academic documents quickly. It is useful for students, researchers, professors, healthcare professionals, and knowledge workers who need to screen papers faster and understand key findings without reading every page in full. What works well is the research-specific workflow. Users can upload PDFs, paste text, use URLs, import from Zotero, or search articles, then generate summaries that help identify the main objective, method, results, and conclusions. This makes SciSummary helpful for literature reviews, study notes, academic reading, and early research exploration. The main weakness is that summaries can miss nuance. Scientific papers often depend on methodology details, limitations, statistics, sample size, and context that a short AI summary may oversimplify. Users should not cite, publish, or make important academic or medical decisions based only on the AI summary. Overall, SciSummary is a useful research productivity tool, especially for quickly screening many papers. It works best as a reading assistant, not as a substitute for careful academic review, source checking, or expert judgment.
