✂ Features & Specs
MotherDuck provides a managed, serverless cloud data warehouse service powered by DuckDB. It offers a hybrid local-cloud execution model that automatically scales compute per query, charging only for active usage with no idle costs. The platform assigns each user a dedicated DuckDB instance called a 'duckling' that spins up in under 100 milliseconds, enabling isolated, scalable workloads. Pricing includes a free tier with 10 GB storage and 10 hours of Pulse compute per month, and a Business plan at $250/month with advanced features like multiple compute instance sizes, read scaling, 90-day snapshot retention, and 99.9% SLA. MotherDuck supports AI functions for SQL assistance and generative tasks, and features interactive visualizations called Dives built by AI agents. It is available in AWS US East (N. Virginia) and Europe (Frankfurt) regions.
