Interesting AI memory wearable, but no longer ideal to recommend to new users

Limitless AI was an AI wearable and personal memory assistant designed to record conversations, transcribe them, summarize them, and make real-life discussions searchable later. The idea was useful for meetings, personal notes, reminders, interviews, and people who often forget important details from conversations. What worked well was the concept. A small wearable that captures spoken context and turns it into searchable AI memory could be valuable for professionals, founders, consultants, students, researchers, and people who spend a lot of time in meetings. The main problem is the current product status. Limitless is no longer a normal active product for new buyers after its acquisition by Meta. The company says it is no longer selling the Pendant, existing users are being supported through 2026, and some regions lost access to the service. That makes it risky to recommend as a tool people should start using today. Privacy is another serious concern. Any wearable that records real-world conversations needs careful consent, data protection, and legal awareness. Users should not record people without permission, especially in workplaces, client meetings, schools, healthcare, legal settings, or regions with strict recording laws. Overall, Limitless AI was an interesting and ambitious AI wearable, but it is not a strong recommendation for new users right now. It is better described as a discontinued or existing-customer-only product after the Meta acquisition. For users who need meeting notes today, a standard AI meeting assistant or transcription app may be safer and more practical.
